I have a passion for the past and love to write about ancient history and archaeology.  I have explored diverse topics such as what the Romans ate and how they designed their homes, the way archaeologists raised the Mary Rose and how British Bog bodies and Chinese mummies are preserved.

I am the Feature Writer for archaeology at Suite101. Many of my articles are written about places I have visited and illustrated with my own photographs. Examples include Pompeii in Italy and Roman Tunisia.

Whilst I love the past, I also love to discover and explore the countries I visit. My travel articles have covered subjects such as taking a road trip down the king’s highway in Jordan, the architecture of Gaudi in Barcelona and Christmas in Vienna and places to stay and visit in Umbria, Italy.

I have also written copy for websites dealing with recipes and exercise
